The role:
In this role you will:

Support the surface concept development of the car within the Aerodynamic Concept Development groups.

Create geometries using Siemens NX (online CAD courses and on-the-job training to be provided by our Aerodynamic Surface Designers). Raise tasks in Dev Ops for larger surface requests.

Communicate with other areas of the aerodynamics department to aid in the efficient development process

Communicate with FSC to define requirements ahead of time.

Contribute to the development of surface automation tools for the benefit of the wider teams

Contribute Ideas to improve process/procedures and methodology for the wider aerodynamics department.
Core competencies:
Students from a variety of degrees ranging from Motorsport / Aero / Engineering / Product / Industrial Design are welcome to apply. Students will have a minimum of two years’ experience at University before the placement starts. It is also essential that you should return to your course for a minimum of one year following completion of the placement. We are unable to accept applications from students in their final year of their university studies.
Core Skills:
In addition to the above, candidates should have an interest in continuous improvement and some project management. We also heavily encourage applicants to let us know about any work experience or examples of developing knowledge or learning beyond academic courses. We strive to develop well rounded people with a passion for improvement of both the business and themselves. The ability to use CAD systems is of great importance and will allow the candidate to explore a steep learning curve and gain a great practical experience in engineering design.

Application Process:
The application process will consist of submitting a CV, covering letter and answering some questions on workday. Your CV will go through an initial screening with our talent acquisition team. You will then be invited to complete an online psychometric testing where you will have 72 hours to complete. The results of these tests, in addition to your application will then go through a further screening by our talent acquisition team and hiring managers. Once selected you will be invited to an assessment centre which will have the option of online or virtually.

Students that are shortlisted will be invited to attend an onsite or virtual assessment day. These assessment days are scheduled to take place in the first week of December.
All assessments in the recruitment process are in English: this is the primary language used within the organisation and you need a good level of written and spoken English in the Industrial Placement role.
