Vehicle Performance Engineers of all levels

Honda Racing Corporation USA a leader in motorsports racing, is seeking several highly organized and detailed oriented Vehicle Performance Engineers of all levels to join its Racing Program in Indianapolis, IN.

Role:

  • Trackside Performance Engineer embedded in a pinnacle-level racing program.
  • Lead pre-event and trackside car setup development, using analytical methods.
  • Lead in-race analysis and adjustment of key vehicle parameters.
  • Utilize predictive tools such as driver-in-loop and other simulation technologies.
  • Design experiments, analyze data, and report findings for simulation and real-world testing.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Master’s Degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles, and their practical application.
  • Strong technical knowledge of racing car chassis systems: aerodynamics, suspension, tires, brakes.
  • 3+ years of trackside performance engineering in a pinnacle racing series (WEC, Formula E, IndyCar, LMDH.)
  • 3+ years of configuration, operation, and validation of vehicle dynamics simulation software.
  • 3+ years of analyzing time-series data using Pi Toolbox or McLaren ATLAS.
  • Practical experience with racing car setup problems and methods.
  • Familiar with test planning, execution, and data analysis using dynamics test rigs (shaker, damper dynamometer)
  • Proficient in statistical analysis of experimental data.
