Social Media Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Media Manager. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing JFR’s social media strategy. This includes creating, curating, developing, and disseminating content across all social media platforms. The Social Media Manager will also be responsible for fostering engagement with followers, managing social media campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize JFR's social media presence. Additionally, this role will assist the greater John Force Racing marketing team and work hand in hand with Director of Business Operations and PR Rep.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute social media strategy.
  • Be a digital storyteller who can shape our messages and goals into effective video, photo, and written content.
  • Determine where cross-platform efforts are appropriate and useful; execute accordingly.
  • Execute on all digital sponsorship activations. Identify brand partnership content opportunities.
  • Cover events in real time, posting on-site at race events and appearances.
  • Experiment with the algorithms, posting times, captions, reposting video, etc.
  • Shoot and produce short-form video content.
  • Pull analytics and prepare reports for partners. Experience with analytics tools to track and optimize social media performance, build metric reports for partnership.
  • Work collaboratively with greater marketing team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with digital, social media, data, copywriting, and/or strategy as a core responsibility is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and distribute content strategically.
  • Experience with iOS operating system, Adobe Creative Suite, SproutSocial, Bitly, LinkTree, Wordpress, Digideck.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology and trends.
  • Strong attention to detail a must.
  • Creative problem-solver with a deep understanding of social media best practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain professionalism when working closely with drivers, celebrities, personalities, etc.
  • Work closely with JFR drivers; may advise best practices and assist with driver accounts.
  • Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Work Environment:

  • Indoor and outdoor environment
  • Heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid conditions.
  • Excessive noise (hearing protection provided).
  • Exposure to hazardous material.

Location:

  • In-person, full-time position based out of Brownsburg, IN
  • Travel to 20-25 events including all NHRA national events select media/driver appearances.
