DEXET is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Junior Associate to join our London office for a full time position, focusing primarily on mechanical and composites design engineering. The role reports to partners and project managers.
Principal activities and responsibilities:
The Junior Associate would assist senior partners in managing the firm’s daily operations, providing the best possible assistance to our clients, while promoting the brand throughout.
Among other things, the Junior Associate would be responsible for:
- Detail design of parts, including 2D drawings under BS8888 standards
- Laminate manual definitions
- CAD support for assemblies and other complex models
- Managing standard parts to be used in our designs
- Attend important meetings with our clients
- Occasional visits to our clients and suppliers
- Writing of articles and reports of our activities
Essential knowledge and skills:
Strong writing, organisational and people skills are strongly advised for this role. Additionally, the Junior Associate should also have:
- Basic 3D CAD solid modelling
- Broad knowledge of composites design and manufacturing
- Good engineering and practical sense
- Microsoft Office package
Desirable knowledge and skills:
- Catia V5 design experience
- Basic surface design
- Lightweight structure design
- FE analysis of metallic and composite structures
