Purpose of the Role: In this contracted position, the freelance video producer and content creator will be responsible for supporting the content team in the creation and cultivation of the best content for both digital and social channels in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and across the McLaren Racing family in motorsports.
The role will primarily be focused on race weekend creation of content, video and photo, during the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, including a wide-range shooting, editing and creation.
Reporting into the Senior Manager, Content & Social Media for Arrow McLaren, the freelance video producer and content creator will directly work with the content and social media team as well as the full traveling race team.
Travel and a non-traditional work schedule will be required to support brand, team and partner activations at INDYCAR events. Travel will be to at least 10 NTT INDYCAR SERIES races (Thursday-Sunday), and the job will require additional hours required before and following those events for preparation and finishing content projects.
The NTT INDYCAR SERIES season spans from March through September. This individual must have availability for all pre-determined dates as agreed upon with the Arrow McLaren team. There is potential for additional freelance hours of filming and/or editing outside of assigned race weeks.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Plan, produce and edit video content in a range of formats to be used across Arrow McLaren and McLaren Racing’s owned channels and within our partners’ channels.
- Create video content in accordance with the overarching brand and digital strategy, as well as objectives, house style and one voice, while ensuring it is optimized for specific digital and social platforms.
- Work in concert with the in-house social media and content team to create top-to-bottom, series-leading content
- Capture “in the moment” and “lifestyle” video of drivers and crew members during race weekends.
- Ability to edit quickly and live-drop photos to social media team as they happen in real-time.
- Create and execute storyline from derived shot list for race weekends in attendance for content series, social content and partners
