General Summary:

This position reports to the Head of Talent Acquisition and UK Employee Relations or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. Human Resources lead for the UK including any UK staff based worldwide. Ensures Human Resource practices conform to UK employment legislation, governmental and company policy regulations.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage department personnel from recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement through to separation.
  • Mentor, train, and guide personnel as required. Develop staff using effective performance reviews and development plans.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Responsible for establishing standard operating procedure and budgets to maintain a practical yet functional department.
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the department, ensuring targets and milestones are achieved.
  • Assumes any responsibilities and duties delegated by the Global Human Resources Director or their designee.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Support the Global Human Resource Director to achieve the team strategic objectives, by acting as the HR lead on a range of different projects and responsibilities.
  • HR lead for all UK restructures within the team, ensuring that a formal consultation process takes place with all affected staff.
  • Supporting the Head of Talent Acquisition and UK Employee Relations regarding any case list, ensuring that all employee relations cases are supported, in accordance with Haas F1 Team policy, best practice and UK employment law.
  • Drive the UK employee engagement process by supporting the various employee benefits programs, enabling effective negotiation with external vendors in regard to a range of staffing matters.
  • Participate in the continual development of HR programs, such as recruiting, retention, compensation, benefits, and Learning & Development.
  • Manage the UK Employee life cycle from onboarding through to separation.
  • Accountability for dealing with workplace conflict within the UK.
  • Line management responsibility for the UK based HR employees, covering a wide variety different business area across the team.
  • Responsible for the timely processing of UK payroll, payroll processes and other payroll related items.
  • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations or their designee.

 

Education and Work Experience:

  • CIPD level 5 diploma or equivalent is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Five years of HR work experience in a professional motorsports, military or aerospace environment is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to supervise others, communicate effectively, and liaise with fellow workers to get desired results.
  • Capable of working in a team environment to a very high standard and a positive work attitude.
  • Excellent organization skills, oral and written communication skills and teamwork skills.
  • Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
  • Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
  • Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
  • A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
  • A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

 

Equipment and Applications:

  • Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products and ERP Systems. HRIS, ATS, Payroll
  • Successful experience as an HR business partner in a 200+ employee company.
  • Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially organization development, payroll, change management, and employee relations.
  • A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices.

 

Work Environment Physical Demands:

An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require some occasional travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

 

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
