In line with the companys strategy to become a world class producer of best in class, high-quality engineered products and with the business currently experiencing significant growth across all its sectors, the company is now seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join its team.

Location: Leeds

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Design Manager or Technical Director, the successful candidate will be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer seeking a new, rewarding and varied role. Working alongside the existing team of design engineers, ideally, you will have had at least 5 years experience working in a special purpose machinery or similar design environment.

You will to produce high quality delivering timely and accurate design solutions.

Degree or HNC qualification in a mechanically oriented engineering discipline.

Demonstrable experience in machinery design including mechanical assemblies, linkages, couplings, bearings, gear trains, belts and pulleys.

Additional knowledge of kinematics and force analysis would also be advantageous.

Knowledge of CAD, preferably SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical.

Accuracy and attention to detail; including both dimensional and geometric tolerancing.

Computer literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

An understanding of timescales and prioritisation

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Discretion and trustworthiness.

Outstanding time management skills.
