Founded in 2004 by Nigel Morris, Valley Motorsport Ltd started its journey from his own garage at the family home, with just one customer car.
Nigel initially decided to focus the business on the restoration and development of the iconic Jaguar E-Type, a car he grew passionate for whilst working as part of the Demon Tweeks race team, some years previous ago.
In the following years, the business continued to expand, adding more clients and cars to its portfolio, prompting a move to a larger premises in North Wales in 2010. This move saw Nigel’s wife Michelle and son, Dan, join the family business. Michelle, with a background in banking, has since run the business’ accounts and plays a huge role in the day to day running of the business. Dan, following in his fathers footsteps, has shared the same passion for four wheels since his childhood and wanted nothing more than to be part of the growing family firm.
After 9 years at this location, the business had outgrown its once large premises. This was the birth of the new era of ‘VMS’.
Early 2019 saw a relocation back to their home-town of Market Drayton, Shropshire. The business now operates from a purpose-built facility designed to meet every demand of an ever-growing team and client car base. Dan, having been initially very hands on with the cars in the workshop, has since held a ‘front of house’ role at this location alongside Nigel. This includes managing the restoration of some great classic cars and co-ordinating events.
VMS has enjoyed much success over the years, including multiple Spa 6 Hour victories and numerous wins at Goodwood. A very proud moment for the team was achieving 1st place in both the Jaguar E-Type 50th and 60thAnniversary races.
