Mazda Team Joest
No team has won the Le Mans 24 Hours more often than Reinhold Joest's team.
As a sports car driver, Reinhold Joest made the jump to the podium at Le Mans. But even greater success celebrated his 1978 founded racing team. Joest Racing set new standards in sports car racing in the 80s and 90s. The team won the long-distance classics in Daytona, on the Nürburgring, in Le Mans, Sebring and Road Atlanta. The Supercup, the Inter Series, the American Le Mans Series. Also a trip to the touring car sport was crowned with success: In 1996 Joest Racing won the International Touring Car Championship (ITC).
From 1998 to 2016, Joest Racing was a partner of Audi Sport. The Audi R8R clinched a podium finish at the Audi Le Mans debut in 1999. In 2000, 2001 and 2002, Audi Sport Team Joest won in Le Mans confidently - and finished each of the Audi R8 cars in the first places. In addition, the Odenwald team won the American Le Mans Series four times in a row.
It is customary that the team of Reinhold Joest is involved in the development of new sports cars from the beginning. "We've always been more than just a field team," says team founder Reinhold Joest. "Our partners have always benefited from the fact that we have contributed our own know-how." With team director Ralf Jüttner, the team has one of the most accomplished technicians in the sports car scene.
