Where do you fit in?
As part of our Event Operations team, you will make a significant contribution to delivering our world class events.
Working at Goodwood is unlike working anywhere else.
With 12,000 acres of South Downs National Park to explore you will have more than your requisite dose of fresh country air. But life will be far from slow-paced. Becoming part of our team means that there’s never a dull moment and every day will be a challenge. Working for a family, not a corporate name, offers an escape from bureaucracy and the chance to unleash your creativity. With plans and investment in the future, not just for the next few years but for the next few hundred years, you will be working with purpose. Although we like to work hard, there is always time to have fun - we offer a whole host of staff events from thank you lunches to the legendary Christmas blow-out, and the Duke’s garden party for family and friends.
Just as Goodwood aims to be the ‘World’s leading luxury experience’ for our customers, we also aim to be the ‘World’s best place to work’ for our team.
We take learning and development seriously and want our team to be the best they can be, whatever their role, skills or background. A wide range of programmes are available for all of our Teams to take advantage of (including everything from Problem Solving, to Time Management, Presenting with Impact, Train the Trainer, Mental Health Awareness, Negotiation Skills and the Goodwood Management Academy to name but a few). Together with the support of a friendly and specialised People and Development team, you will have access to many varied development opportunities to enable you to learn and grow both personally and professionally. We are lucky to have huge number of loyal staff, many of whom who have worked with us for over twenty years. Once you become part of the Goodwood family we want to keep you motivated and fulfilled in your position here.
We are passionate about developing the estate in a sustainable way and work closely with the local community and local charities.
As stewards of the land, it’s really important that we’re responsible for the countryside and architecture over the long term; the estate has been here for over three hundred years and we are planning for the next three hundred.
We have one of the only self-sustaining organic farms in Europe and our restaurant Farmer, Butcher, Chef is a showcase for our award-winning home-grown organic produce, which includes beef, pork, lamb, milk, cheese and ale. Our forestry department are continually developing wildlife initiatives and all our food waste is recycled into energy. We encourage our employees to be involved in all aspects of sustainability, in every business area throughout the year.
