We are recruiting for an Electronics Technician to join our On Board Camera team based at our Biggin Hill office. This role requires extensive travel and an EU/UK driving license

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and help develop the OBC system, ensuring it remains in the highest working order and all aspects of the system meet the standards required to run on a Formula 1 car.
  • Service all relevant electronic and mechanical components between races, either at the Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, Kent, or at the circuit, ensuring that each part of the system is in optimum condition before being used again at the next race.
  • Once fully trained, to install the OBC system on to each F1 car, ensuring it conforms to the highest levels of safety.
  • Perform a role, as required, in the Event Technical Centre (ETC) and the Remote Technical Centre (RTC) assisting with the fault finding and repair of the OBC system as well as helping to provide high quality footage for the F1 TV output.
  • Complete all mandatory training within specified timelines.
  • Operate safely at all times in line with Company health and safety requirements.
  • Undertake other duties within your capabilities as your Department Manager or Team Manager may assign to you from time to time, which may include working in the Pit Lane.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained as per department requirements.
  • Be involved in pre-season testing of OBC 'on car' installations as and when required which may involve visiting F1 Teams or attending pre-season tests.
  • Help build, design and dismantle the OBC workshop at every F1 event whenever necessary.

Specification Essentials:

  • Forklift License
  • Experience in an electronics role
