CRM and Data Business Analyst

Every one of the people working behind the scenes of Formula 1 are vital to keep the wheels turning. The role of CRM and Data Business Analyst is an important part of the team.

Reporting into the Senior CRM & Customer Service Ops Manager, you will:

  • Design, plan and oversee the implementation of optimal data workflow solutions which are consistent and aligned with the overall CRM objectives and strategy. 
  • Work directly with technologists to develop use cases and functional specifications documents.
  • Understand, translate and prioritise end user needs across the affected business areas, documenting their requirements accurately and sufficiently, prior to software configuration / development and implementation.
  • Mapping business requirements to system/technical requirements and ranking into mandatory, desirable and optional categories. Agreed proposals will also elaborate on delivery methods/options, costs and timescales involved. 
  • Proactively engage with business users to develop a plan for introduction/upgrades/integrations of software systems, anticipating and meeting future business demands.
  • Liaising with Technical Project Managers, Product Managers and wider project stakeholders (which may include 3rd party consultants/suppliers), establishing and maintaining effective and efficient relations.
  • Liaise and provide reports to the Head of CRM and Fan Data on a regular basis, to keep them informed of matters arising from assigned projects / activities. 
  • Liaise with Implementation Team to obtain accurate estimates for projects/tasks, in terms of duration, resource and costing. Provide input regarding risks, schedule, scope and trade-offs.
  • Perform full cycle project/task analysis, through Conception, Technical Design, Development, UAT Testing, Go-Live and Handover stages.  Support and enable the production of high quality, reliable solutions including comprehensive documentation, which require the minimal of maintenance and support.  Deliver these to scope.
  • Ensure regular, ongoing visibility of project/task process, by updating relevant JIRA and in house channels.
  • Support and play a key role in the Change Management Process. Challenge and question proposed changes, if justification is understood or not.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and create/manage execution of test plans, to ensure the root cause is addressed, the acceptance criteria are met, and the outcome meets the defined objectives. 
  • Produce appropriate and complete documentation for all requirements/ enhancements/ projects worked on and assist with communication/distribution/publication of this documentation.  This may include compiling test/ diagnosing facilities.

Specification Essentials

  • HND or Hons Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or relevant experience in the Software Development environment.
  • Experience in Salesforce (SFMC, Data Cloud, MC Personalisation) CRM with end-to-end implementation experience.
  • Soliciting, gathering and analysing user input and requirements.
  • Experience creating wireframe documents with information architecture.
  • Authoring requirements, definition and related documentation.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, business process owners, technical project managers and technical teams to execute business analysis tasks.
  • Working as a Technical Business Analyst using Agile software methodology, supporting a variety of technologies.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office/Project/Visio/JIRA/Confluence or similar applications.
  • Working with XML, JavaScript, Relational Databases and SQL.
  • Experienced in working with Object Oriented Design and UML.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to evaluate, report and converse effectively.
  • Ability to adapt effectively to changing targets and objectives and ensure tight deadlines are achieved.
  • Good communication, facilitation, negotiating and influencing skills, alongside the ability to translate user needs into complex technical requirements and vice versa.
