Don't miss your chance to make an impact!We are currently looking for a motivated CFD Engineer to be based in our HQ in Faenza (Italy).In this role you will be responsible for driving forward the engine cooling development of our race car. For all engine cooling systems (Radiators, Snorkels, ECU, etc.),this will entail taking ownership of the aerodynamic development, the methodology of CFD simulations and CFD tools correlation with bench and track test.You will play a key in role in improving the brake cooling correlation between CFD, Track and Bench Test.

COOLING DEVELOPMENT
Work with the CFD Mechanical Group for preparation, execution and report of CFD and experimental studies' conclusions.
A strong grounding in aerodynamics and CFD methods will be required to take an active role in continually improving the fidelity and accuracy of the CFD simulations for engine cooling development.
Responsible for the development of all engine cooling systems (Radiators, Snorkels, ECU, etc.), in the full respect of the deadlines and targets given by Aero Management.
Explore new concepts and direction to continually improve car performance following the Aero Management targets.
Continually improving, with the support of methodology group, the fidelity and accuracy of the CFD simulations for engine cooling development.
CFD code programming.
Proactive attitude in defining the activities to improve CFD correlation with bench and track test.
Support CFD Mechanical group on improving as required the brake cooling correlations between CFD, Track and Bench test.

Experience
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- Strong PhD/Master Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer with specialization in Aerodynamics.
- Experience of at least 2 years in a similar role.
- Full understanding of Aerodynamic theories, CFD methods and CAD surfacing.
- Capability to properly interact with the various groups of the organisation will require good communication and teamwork.
- Familiar in utilizing Linux system.
- Experience in using Open Source and/or commercial CFD software.
- Experience developing in either C, C++, Python and Bash.
- Experience using ANSA and NX would be considered as a plus.
- Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Remarkable attitude in problem solving and attention to details.
- Organised and methodical approach to work.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
- Flexible approach to working hours to ensure that project deadlines and targets are respected.
- Fluency in English.
- Travel 10-20%
