Technical Director

JMB Classic’s ambition is to enable the finest racing car collectors to enjoy as much as possible their vehicles by preparing, running and storing them in the best possible conditions.

Whether our customers are looking for a safe home, a full restoration of a factory car such as a Toyota GT One, a racing team or a group of experts to source, inspect and buy a new race car, JMB Classic is able to provide highly professional services, based on its 27 years of motorsport experience, including 14 international titles and 12 entries in Le Mans.

JMB Classic is already in charge of maintaining 45 collector cars.

To continue our growth, we are looking for a Technical Director.

Your Mission :

  • Define engineering services required (systems, engines, performance, etc.) to achieve the agreed technical and sporting objectives

  • Recruit the necessary freelance engineers (systems, performance)

  • Plan the work to be carried out on the vehicles in collaboration with the workshop manager and ensure that it is completed on time.

  • During tests and races:

    • Ensuring that each car is running smoothly and at optimum performance

  • Following races and track days :

    • Check the reports from the freelance engineers

    • Plan any necessary improvements (vehicles, organisation)

  • Customer relationship :

    • Understand customer expectations and share it with the Team Manager

    • Occasional drafting of progress reports

Job requirements:

  • Experience as a motorsport engineer (systems, performance)

  • Organised and efficient in project management

  • Experience in team management and coordination

  • Fluent in French and English

Work environment:

  • The Job position is located in the South East of France in Signes, 2 km away from the Paul Ricard track.

Conditions

  • Permanent contract

  • Remote working: 1 or 2 days a week, depending on the personal situation

  • €70,000 - €80,000 annual gross salary depending on profile and experience

  • Start date: no later than the 2nd of January 2024
