OVERVIEW
The Single-Seater Operations Coordinator is the key person for all stakeholders involved in the organisation of all FIA F1 Grands Prix, in the particular areas of event operations, logistics and freight movements. The position requires extensive travel (up to 18 races/year worldwide).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-season:
- Establish the freight movement planner for the entire season together with the FIA Operations Manager and logistics provider
- Arrange air cargo and sea freight for the upcoming season
- Liaise with the F1 circuits regarding FIA requirements
Pre-event:
- Receive air cargo and sea freight at events
- Set up FIA scrutineering garage and FIA offices
- Create / update the FIA F1 team schedule and send it together with official timetable to all F1, F2 and service provider staff
During event:
- Operate traffic lights at pit entrance during F1 FP2 and F1 Qualifying
- Coordinate FIA security (shift times; special instructions
- Monitor service provider work Additional Responsibilities
- Make sure the Grid Panel System has been set up and tested before the official track test
- Monitor daily tests of the Grid Panel System
PROFILE
- Long-term experience with logistics in motor sport and/or live event/TV production business
- Air Freight Security Certification "Known Consignor"
- Must be able to pass strict checks for handling air cargo
- Fluent English
- Proficient Microsoft Office (World, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to perform and keep calm in a high-pressure environment
- Great attention to detail
- Sense of duty, loyalty and integrity
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong team spirit and able to work fully autonomously
- Ability to work in the strictest confidence with key stakeholders
