We are looking for a Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Structural Calculation specializing in structural calculations to lead the development of the next generation LMH monocoque at our Cologne headquarters.

Job description / Tasks:
- play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, strength and performance of our next Le Mans Prototype monocoque
- conduct structural analysis and validation of carbon fibre components and assemblies to meet strength, stiffness and reliability requirements
- model and analyse fibre-reinforced composite parts, defining their laminate
- perform concept design and numerical optimization of structural components and assemblies, including topology, laminate and parametric optimization
The successful candidate will:
- have a Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering
- be proficient in FEM pre-processors and solvers , e.g. ANSA, Hypermesh, Abaqus, Optistruct or equivalent
- have a good working knowledge of Catia V5 as a bonus
- be a real team player and be accustomed to work in a structured, thorough and self-organised manner
- have good written and spoken English communication skills
