When shortlisting applications for the Production Control Placement we look for relevant subjects such as Engineering, Manufacturing or Business.

Students will have a minimum of two years’ experience at University before the placement starts. It is also essential that you should return to your course for a minimum of one year following completion of the placement. We are unable to accept applications from students in their final year of their university studies / candidates who are not currently studying at university.

 

The successful candidate will join our Production Control Team and will support high-level capacity planning to feed the Car Program planning process. Throughout the placement you will be supported and mentored by one of our experienced Production Controllers/Production Engineers.

 

Some of your responsibilities would include:

  • Gather information from the relevant stakeholders to generate picklists in the ERP system, to support the release of work to the shopfloor.

  • Make any required changes or updates to existing WO packs already on the shopfloor (e.g. updated drawings to reflect revision changes).

  • Expedite key orders through the business, tracking their location and moving them between departments as required.

 

In addition to the above, we look for candidates who are creative, have a keen eye for detail, enjoy problem solving and are excellent team players. You don’t need to have a specific interest in motorsport to apply, we are looking for people with a keen interest in STEM subjects.

 

The application process will consist of submitting a CV, covering letter and answering some initial questions. Your CV will go through screening with our resourcing team and the hiring managers. Once selected you will be invited to an assessment centre which is likely to be held virtually.
