FULL STACK DEVELOPER MOTORSPORTS

The role
In this senior role, you will be part of an international team creating products for motorsports events. Our products are used by hundreds of thousands of racers and fans every year. Our global motorsports platform, Speedhive, consisting of both a web platform and corresponding mobile apps (Android and iOS), is the largest race results platform in the world used by professional- and amateur racers.
While being situated in the C# team maintaining Speedhive, you’ll play a key role in adding new functionality to our Java Spring Boot API’s feeding Speedhive. Therefore, extensive knowledge of both technologies and having excellent communication skills is a must.
Yes, you’re reading it right, we’re looking for someone who has passion for software development in general and therefor has knowledge of both Java and C#.
 
Your responsibilities

  • Execute an architectural vision on existing system. components (which are partly hosted on-premise and partly in Azure) within the development teams.
  • Form and execute a strategy for eliminating technical debt.
  • Extend and maintain Java backend applications while ensuring scalability and smooth running of related systems.
  • Maintain and enhance our B2C high traffic frontend community platform (C#, VUE.js).
  • Work closely with other Development and Product-Management teams.

Your profile

  • Higher vocational working and thinking level.
  • Passion for development and being on top of new relevant techniques.
  • You have experience in a development environment with multiple scrum-teams interacting with each other, actively communicating with other teams to achieve the best solutions.
  • At least 5 years of Java Development and multiple years of C# development in an agile working environment.
  • Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, C#, MVC 5, VUE.js, SQL, Jenkins, CI/CD, Azure.
  • You value working according to coding standards, following best practices and producing readable code which is unit tested.
  • A hands-on, self-sufficient mentality.
  • Affinity with motorsport.
