The engine tuner is responsible for the overall general maintenance of engines at the race track. Some of their responsibilities include inspecting and changing valve springs, inspecting and maintaining carburetors and/or throttle bodies, and the maintenance and stocking of engine components on the transporter. The tuner travels with the race team to all test and race events. While with the race team, the tuner is supporting all competitive activities related to the engine, including preparation for practice, qualifying and race. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
