The Opportunity

Wiring Harness Technician – to join the small, busy, and skilled team as workload increases. It is expected that the successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and good productivity building on previous experience acquired in an electronics/electrical assembly environment. A commitment to ‘getting things done’ with a positive attitude. Adaptable and flexible to the task in hand is very important.

Role outline:

  • Manufacturing and repair of vehicle wiring assemblies

  • Commissioning of Electrical systems

  • Basic circuit testing

  • Understanding task requirements and completing as assigned.

  • Asking questions and assisting wherever possible.

  • Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.

  • Establishing professional relationships with other staff.

  • Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence.

Key Skills / Experience

  • Previous experience in an electrical/electronic assembly environment including wiring harness assembly, crimping, and soldering.

  • Familiarity of Raychem DR25 System is desirable.

  • Be able to understand electrical assembly drawings and meet quality control

  • Demonstrating initiative and organisation skills to meet deadlines as required.

  • Attention to detail.

  • A valid driver’s licence may be required.

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages is desirable

Hours of work & Benefits

Standard full-time working week, 40 hours, with some flexibility between 7.30am to 5.30pm, 45-minute lunch break.

The role is based at the office owing to the nature of the job responsibilities.

Salary: Competitive - a salary range depending on experience
