Alpine F1 Team have an opportunity to join the team as a Test Engineer at our site in Enstone.
Test Engineer – The Role
This role involves supporting the development of state of art testing techniques and methodologies for transmission related dynos such as, but not limited to, gearbox dyno, gimbal rig, hydraulic rig. You will be involved in cross-functional activities with various teams from build, test, design, controls and powertrain whilst supporting the improvement of simulation and validation techniques for transmission model. Your main accountability will be to develop state of the art testing methodologies.
Test Engineer – The Person
Candidates for this position must have:
- University Engineering BSc or MSc (Mechanical, Aerospace)
- Strong background on testing on motorsport or high-end automotive
- Good understanding of dyno control systems, sensors, actuators
- Previous experience on testing of transmission systems (gearbox, hydraulics)
- Basic programming skills (Matlab / Python) for data analysis and pre-post processing
Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and a strong cross functional mindset. You will be a team player and possess excellent communication skills.
