Team Leader Control Systems* (m/w)

In motorsport, we always give everything and try to get the last bit of power and performance out of our motorcycles. But in order for us to celebrate great successes with them, the motorcycles first have to be developed. As Team Leader Control Systems* for our MotoGP bikes, you will be responsible for leading our development team and further developing the control systems. You will act as an interface with internal departments and will always be involved in optimizing the calibration of the control systems. In addition, you are in constant exchange with our race and test teams. If you have a communicative personality with first management experience, you also have a high level of in-depth knowledge in control technology and your passion is motorsports? THE TASKS AWAITING YOU:

  • leading and developing the control system team for MotoGP
  • optimization of the calibrations of the controls available in the ECU (chassis and engine controls)
  • analysis of vehicle and engine performance for continuous development 
  • participation in test and race events to delineate various parameters and analyze track data
  • validation of control system calibration on simulators, on the engine test bench and on the rolling track
  • optimization of performance development in cooperation with internal departments
  • close cooperation with the development departments (electronics hardware, vehicle dynamics, engine development) and other internal and external contacts (race and test team, engine development)

HOW YOU CAN INSPIRE US:

  • profound technical education in the field of electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or aeronautical and automotive engineering (FH/TU)
  • several years of professional experience in the motorsport area especially in the field of control engineering as well as application and calibration of engines and experience in vehicle performance analysis desirable
  • initial experience in technical and disciplinary management is an advantage
  • experienced handling of embedded software and measurement technology desirable as well as high expertise in Simulink 
  • active motorcycle and motorsport affinity as well as English both written and spoken
  • communicative and flexible personality with team spirit, organizational skills and hands-on mentality
  • analytical, creative and solution-oriented thinking as well as a structured, methodical and precise way of working
