Role Overview

The primary role of this position will be to process payments to evaluate technical accounting matters, co-develop accounting positions and policies, and ensure compliance with US GAAP.  This role will report directly to the CAO as well as have line of sight visibility to audit committee, CFO, COO and CEO.   Additionally, Fisker will be reporting on its internal controls over financial reporting.  This role will require an understanding of internal controls and processes around subjective accounting judgments or estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative team player orientation

  • Knowledge and experience accounting for stock options and share based payments to employees and nonemployees under ASC 718, as amended

  • Ability to apply accounting concepts pertaining to revenue and leasing under ASC 606 and 842

  • Lease accounting knowledge must include both lessee and lessor

  • Works independently and ability to present accounting solutions to C-suite executives

  • Fundamental skillset to know how to research and interpret technical accounting and SEC reporting rules and regulations

  • Must know how to manage complexity and ability to read contracts and legal documents to accurately identify accounting and reporting matters for investigation

  • Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) standards

  • Experience with internal controls over accounting estimates, including strong understanding of critical judgments and how to design and implement effective management review controls

  • Ability to participate in the development of a best-in-class finance function and must be comfortable in establishing new solutions

  • Complete ad hoc projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting

  • 4+ years of experience with progressive experience with Big 4/large National public accounting experience

  • At least 2 years of experience within a public EV, automotive, manufacturer or related company preferred

  • CPA required

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

  • Experience with Bill.com, Quickbooks & ERP will be a plus.

  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Expected Salary Range: $61,600.00 -$171,600.00

Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
