Purpose of Role

To work as part of the McLaren Automotive’s Manufacturing Quality team carrying out inspection activities on vehicles and components within the Body Assembly or Paint processes.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Performing inspection of body assemblies.
  • Performing inspection of painted panels and components within the McLaren Automotive’s paint shop.
  • Inputting and maintaining data into company credit / debit system.
  • Work as part of a team on the definition and solution of problems that may be affecting the quality, cost or productivity of the vehicles being produced.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience with the inspection of body and, or painted vehicles and components a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience in a quality/manufacturing/process driven environment ideal.
  • Ability to follow and work to process instructions.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Must have a valid drive license (Clean).
  • Ability to work well in a team or autonomously as required.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers of all levels.

  • Willing to work shifts plus weekday and weekend overtime.
