Purpose of Role

  • Shift Process Maintenance Technician
  • Your role will be to support the maintenance and repair of critical production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operating effectiveness and efficiency.
  • This would also include repairs to lighting throughout the facility.
  • It is essential you have the following in order to apply:
  • Must have recently been employed in a similar role, looking for candidates with up to date knowledge and experience
  • High level of diagnostic and fault finding experience on plc controlled equipment
  • Good communication and customer facing skills
  • Demonstrable experience in system improvement
  • Good mechanical system knowledge (pumps, vacuum, pneumatics, hydraulics)

Your main responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Effective fault finding on critical production equipment
  • Carrying out repair, improvement and planned maintenance work on production equipment
  • Effective supervision of the subcontractor activities as required
  • Identification of continuous improvement of plant, equipment and systems
  • Compliance with health, safety and environmental policy requirements within area of responsibility
  • Effective logging and documentation of reactive and planned maintenance tasks

You need the following knowledge/skills/experience:

  • Electrical/mechanical recognised engineering skills - will be subject to practical test ie BTEC/HND/Apprenticeship
  • Experience of fault finding and maintenance activity on PC, PLC and electromechanically controlled production equipment
  • Robust experience in a similar role and industry
  • Knowledge of automated control systems and manufacturing and process equipment is required
  • It is essential that you have a flexible approach to working hours as you will be expected to partake in an on call rota system which will include evenings and weekend (this may involve having to get to site in short time frames).
  • The current shift pattern you will be expected to work is as below, but this may change in the future depending on business needs.  

Monday – Friday Day Shift      07:30 – 16:00

Monday – Friday Early Shift    06:00 – 14:30

Monday – Friday Late Shift     13:30 – 22:00
