At M-Sport, we are dedicated to supporting motorsport manufacturing and customer programmes spread across a variety of National and International rally and race series on a vast range of stages and circuits in the most acclaimed motorsport championships. Based at the historic Dovenby Hall Estate on the doorstep to the Lake District, our team of highly skilled Technicians and Engineers work closely together through each step, from design, to build and manufacturing, and then running our elite competition cars.
Due to an ever-increasing workload, an exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Body Shell Fabricator to work alongside our team of highly skilled Fabricators in our busy Shell Shop Department.
Duties will include:

Producing fabricated items & sub-assemblies for our range of competition cars.

Working with carbon steel and aluminium to a high accuracy.

Mig & Tig welding.
The ideal candidate should:

Have a good attention to detail.

A minimum of two years’ experience in a fabrication shop.

Be able to undertake basic Mig & Tig welding tasks with minimum guidance.

Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
-
Have an understanding of basic inspection and measurement tools.
The role requires a consistently high level of performance and quality in a highly pressurised and time sensitive environment. Experience in a similar race or rally setting would be an advantage. The role would suit a self-motivated team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. A flexible approach to working hours is required.
