Job Summary:
The Sr. Systems/HPC Analyst will solve computer problems, test cost-effective solutions, and provide support to ensure efficient daily operation of the organization’s computer systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with managers and users to identify systems problems; assesses severity of the issues and prioritizes responses as appropriate.
- Performs system tests and collaborates with programmers to resolve issues and errors.
- Manage and maintain our HPC cluster.
- Works with users to identify system requirements; develops processing procedures and systems modifications to meet these specifications.
- Uses structured and cost analysis to identify and recommend updates to the current computer systems.
- Drafts informational materials that explain systems and IT services to managers and users.
- Responsible for New Hire and Off Boarding functions including asset management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of computer systems and programming.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft O365, Intune, Atlassian, Service Now and other related software.
- Proficient with High Performance Computing Clusters (HPC)
- Proficient with or able to quickly learn systems and software used by the organization.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- Three to five years of information systems experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
