SENIOR ASSOCIATE, MEDIA AND EVENTS

Purpose of the Role

The Media and Events senior associate will act as a key member of the team to help manage the production of live events for our partners and fans. They will also act as a key link to our Digital and Social team helping manage content captured each race weekend and reviewing our rich media archive.

 

McLaren Racing’s IT teamwork across the entire racing team, from track to factory, the team provide a wide variety of IT services. As experts in their field, the IT function work alongside the team and our partners to help deliver new services.

 

We continue to develop an exciting digital roadmap to deliver across the business, creating an agenda for change over next 12 months and beyond. As part of the team, you will be open to new opportunities alongside the latest technology from our partners.

 

This role will support the business and work with our events and communications teams on new live event capabilities for fan and partner engagement, manage media archive and storage and be a key member of the production team. You will work closely with the Principal Architect and alongside the digital and social teams.

 

You will be leading the support and development of our Slipstream broadcast service from the McLaren Technology Centre in collaboration with our production team.

 

Role Dimensions:

The role will form part of the production team for McLaren’s behind the scenes show, Slipstream. Delivering unique experiences to our partners and their guests each race weekend. This person will be responsible for the technical coordination and oversight of the gallery for live event production. They will work closely with the in-house AV team in McLaren, our production agency and the Principal Digital Architect. Taking on responsibility for live technical operation. Outside of this they will work with our videography team to ensure footage is captured and processed from all race events.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Technical coordination and management of AV gallery.
  • Design key processes for studio and gallery operations.
  • Manage recording and distribution of content produced on site.
  • Collaborate with McLaren production team ahead of each episode.
  • Responsible for distribution and back up of key events.
  • Design and deliver media back up and archive plans.
  • Work with the creative studio at McLaren to ensure media distribution is efficient and secure.
  • Key accountability in creating and maintaining system documentation.
  • Support the Principal IT Digital Architect and ensure systems are sufficiently flexible to respond to business demand.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Live events and AV production.
  • Knowledge of streaming and collaboration technology.
  • Understanding of media files and formats.
  • Experience in Adobe creative suite.
  • Interest in audio visual control systems.
  • Methodical approach to asset management.
