The successful candidate needs to have a strong knowledge of US GAAP and a commitment to high quality accounting. We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join and help grow our accounting team. Additionally, the candidate will need to have the ability to implement processes to improve operational efficiency, work with cross-functional teams, and deal with a variety of accounting issues, all with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.

As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for US general accounting, world-wide consolidation, quarterly SEC Reporting and Accounts Payable. The Senior Accountant reports to World-Wide Controller/Treasurer and the Chief Financial Officer

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for US General Accounting. Manage staff accountant(s) to record journal entries for revenues, reserves, cost of revenues, operating and other expenses.
  • Perform month-end accounting close, reconcile bank accounts and record expense accruals as required. Prepare key balance sheet account analysis and scheduling as required.
  • Monitoring UK general accounting with accounting support provided as needed and monthly review of UK controlled entities financial statements
  • World-Wide Consolidation including elimination entries and preparation of financial statement workbook used in quarterly SEC reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of SEC quarterly filings with schedules and analysis.
  • Key point of contact for Auditor review of quarterly results and audit of full year numbers.
  • Manage US accounts payable and weekly disbursement of operating expenses.
  • Support federal and state US tax compliance by working with compliance specialists and providing necessary schedule to complete tax filings.
  • Assist in the implementation of SOX across all entities. Work with SOX consultants, CFO, Controller and other key accounting personnel to develop and implement controls and procedures mandated by Sarbanes-Oxley and best practices.
  • Support budget and forecasting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in accounting required
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP, 3+ years of relevant experience
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Strong leader with the ability to train and mange staff
  • Excellent communication, time-management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to frequently adjust priorities and help the team out wherever needed
  • NetSuite/ERP experience is a plus
