Regional Group Sales Manager, Southeast Region

NASCAR is seeking positive, motivated, and organized individuals looking to help lead one of the hardest driving sales teams in sports. The NASCAR Group Sales Team is tasked with driving ticket revenue across all NASCAR business units. The Group Sales Regional Managers will manage and oversee the Group Sales Account Executives in their region in addition to actively selling and driving group sales revenue for the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

  • Help build and lead a regional sales team focused on selling groups for multiple NASCAR properties
  • Work with Group Sales Director to identify new group sales opportunities in each market you serve
  • Mentor and develop members of your team both personally and professionally
  • Develop close relationships with Track Leadership to ensure ongoing collaboration and success
  • Meet and exceed both personal and overall team yearly sales goals
  • Be on-site for race weekends to help the team execute all of their group sales initiatives
  • Lead trainings for the regional team and overall NASCAR Group Sales Team
  • Develop strong relationships with colleges in your region to identify NASCAR University opportunities
  • Additional duties as assigned

This job will oversee and manage the Group Sales Account Executives in their region.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a group sales environment, prior experience leading a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sport Management, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Previous CRM Platform experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Distinguished verbal and written communicator
  • Passion for building and guiding the sales process
  • Flexibility in working extended hours when needed

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend single instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common factions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

Computer Skills

Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.

  • Assisting group sales teams to execute group experiences
  • Assisting with fan experiences or other race day operations as needed
