Role Overview:

This position is responsible for the delivery of Payroll, Full & Final Settlement, Tax & Labour Law Compliances (Income Tax, Professional Tax, Minimum Wage, Statutory Bonus, etc.), administration of Social Security and Retirement Plans (PF, NPS, ESIC, LWF, Gratuity, etc.) and managing employee recoveries. The person will drive process improvement projects strategy and shall support the team by lending subject matter expertise and guidance and adopting a continuous improvement mindset, to support all internal & external stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The role will be a single point of contact for the India Payroll responsibilities.

  • Timely & accurate payroll processing and salary disbursement for separated employees.

  • Timely & accurate payment of gratuity to eligible employees.

  • Administration of advances, including recovery of outstanding dues from active and separated employees.

  • Timely & accurate remittance of taxes (IT, PT, etc.) and social security contributions (PF, NPS, ESI, LWF, etc.) and timely submission of returns.

  • Prepare data for payroll to include Time off1: Vacation, Personal and Leave of Absence

  • Administration of social security & retirals process (PF, NPS, ESIC & LWF) - Enrolment, Exit, Transfer, Withdrawal, etc.

  • Management reporting of compliance with all applicable statutory compliances.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and collaborate across functions (COEs) and Human Capital on policies and optimizing upstream processes.

  • Vendor management for in-scope outsourced activities for seamless delivery.

  • Continuous improvement of processes & adherence to process SLAs.

  • Timely update all process SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and process compliance review of all HR Operations & Payroll processes.

  • System access control of all HR & Payroll systems in scope.

  • Actively participate and manage of all internal and external audits/reviews.

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree or equivalent in any subject, preferably commerce. Candidates with post-graduation in HR/Commerce subjects will be given preference.

  • Minimum 8- 10 years of experience in Payroll and associated processes.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employee taxation, Final Pay, Retirals and compliances for large organizations in India region.

  • Working knowledge of Payroll Systems and ERP will be an added advantage.

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of statutory remittances and filing.

  • Solid data analytics, interpretation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Well versed with Microsoft Office Suite - Especially EXCEL and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
