Purpose of Role
The role will work as part of a small, multi-functional team split across a 2-shift operation on a 1-week rotation, reporting to a Paint Team Leader.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure that all station operations on each vehicle are completed to the required quality standard
- Ensure that all operations are completed to the required timescale
- Work as part of a team on the definition and solution of problems that may be affecting the quality, cost or productivity of the vehicles being produced
- Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested
- Understand and adhere to the McLaren Values and help grow the Automotive Brand.
- Removal and storage of various parts from the vehicle using correct tooling supplied.
- Unload mono cell to transport stillage via lifting crane, ready for GA load.
- Department liaison between various department up and down stream.
- Update and maintain Excel documents for data analyst.
- Deliver parts required to GA in line with the daily load plan on time in full.
- Clean and check cars prior to Ga Load.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
- Adhere to all requirements for hazardous or non-hazardous waste disposal
- Maintain daily KPI’s where required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience of working within an automotive environment would be an advantage.
- Prior experience of working as part of a team is desirable
- Prior experience of working to timescales would be advantageous
- Quality focused with meticulous attention to detail would be advantageous.
- Experience in using lifting / gantry crane would be a distinct advantage.
- Microsoft excel / power point experience is desirable
- Previous logistic experience would be an advantage.
- Understanding of load portfolios and load plans would be advantageous.
- Previous experience with painted part storage is desirable.
- Previous experience working with KPI’s would be an advantage.
- Previous experience of manufacturing supply chain would be advantageous.
