JOB SUMMARY:

Lead Data Architect will design and implement Pratt Miller’s data strategy with forward thinking solutions that meet our business performance measures. The Lead Data Architect will plan, communicate, and execute these data solutions in conjunction with various systems and stakeholders so they ensure data integrity and align with the business performance indicators.

This is a leader role that will build a team to define and execute this vision. The team will support the transformation, delivery, and realization of Data and BI-based solutions across the Enterprise with the goal of providing sound and accurate information to the company.

This is a hybrid role and it can be based in New Hudson, Michigan or Huntersville, North Carolina.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, Own & Communicate data future state
  • Design and Build Data Warehousing schema
  • Maintain data integrity, Data Modeling and Governance
  • Create data process monitoring scheme
  • Design and maintain data inflow and processing pipelines
  • Responsible for ETL data transformation activities
  • Develop and enforce corporate data standards that meet our stakeholders' requirements
  • Lead team of developers and analysts
  • Constant communication with business process owners and subject matter experts
  • Assist in definition of initiative Roadmaps and measurement of success
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in our data management systems and processes

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four year Degree in data science, computer science or a related technical field
  • Ten plus years of experience working IT, software development, business intelligence or similar role
  • Five years working with data analytics, data management and warehousing
  • Two years data warehouse design and information architecture
  • Experience managing a team
  • Demonstrate Leadership with planning and execution of past efforts
  • Proficiency with MS SQL
  • Prior use of a Commercial or Open Source ETL package
  • Experience with Azure technologies
  • Data Quality and Security implementation experience
  • Specifying and developing data integration solutions across multiple systems
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Agile software development methodology experience
  • Data and process monitoring experience
  • Experience Implementing an effective Data Governance program
  • Experience implementing compliance with SOX, OPSEC, CUI, ITAR and/or other regulatory requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physical Demands: Position requires light physical activity.
  • Work Schedule: Daytime schedule Monday-Friday with infrequent night/weekend work for project support and additional effort as needed to achieve deadlines. Travel as required.

This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident or ability to meet licensure requirements.
