At M-Sport, we are dedicated to supporting motorsport manufacturing and customer programmes spread across a variety of National and International rally and race series on a vast range of stages and circuits in the most acclaimed motorsport championships. Based at the historic Dovenby Hall Estate on the doorstep to the Lake District, our team of highly skilled Technicians and Engineers work closely together through each step, from design, to build and manufacturing, and then running our elite competition cars.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical QC Inspector to work alongside a team of technicians in our busy Electrical Department.
Duties will include:

Testing wiring harnesses using our automated test equipment.

Inspecting all new wiring assemblies to ensure they meet our codes of practice.

Carrying out pin pushback tests on all new electrical assemblies.

Carrying out temperature and pressure sensor calibration tests using our dedicated test equipment.

Creating new wiring harness test routines.
The ideal candidate should have:

The ability to understand wiring diagrams.

The ability to recognise non-conformances including substandard crimping, twisting, layup, installation of moulded parts and tubing.

Previous manufacturing experience in electrical wiring harness or electrical assembly environment.

Previous experience in an quality control environment would be beneficial although not essential.
The role requires a consistently high level of performance and quality in a highly pressurised and time sensitive environment. The role would suit a self-motivated team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. A flexible approach to working hours is required.
