IS THIS SOMETHING THAT INTERESTS YOU?

The Head of Business will interact externally with customers, drive growth and collaborate across our in-house software teams. You must provide project support, facilitate communication and ensure all projects are progressing successfully. You must hold an understanding of the software development lifecycle and be capable of specifically supporting the development of new Racing Connected products as well as updates for existing products. You will also gather and drive new feature requirements from customers and assess the suitability of features for intended outcomes. Ensuring the release of effective, high quality product enhancements. You will document key decisions during customer meetings with their goals and deliverables in mind. Driving new business and supporting implementation with these new customers as required.

Openness to travel in this role, is key to successfully helping our clients solve their toughest problems and implement solutions to improve their operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate across the different internal teams and the customer on the implementation of the solutions to their business.
  • Develop clear project implementation plans on how the solution will be delivered into a customer’s business.
  • Engage frequently with leadership across the development teams; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, provide input on requirement acceptance and refinement, testing and validation, contribute to design activities and decisions as the project is delivered with the customer.
  • Facilitate communication between the customer and the internal development team throughout the different stages of the project.
  • Actively engage with customers to understand the problems they are facing in their operational processes.
  • Engage with the commercial director and software development team to discuss the customer problems and how the Racing Connected solutions could be utilised.
  • Create process flows and visuals on the solutions that the business provides.
  • Engagement with UI/UX to clarify requirements from a user perspective.
  • Represent Racing Connected at customer-facing events and meetings.
  • Development of the company’s business development and sales strategy with key accounts.
  • Assist the wider Business Development team with product demonstrations to new customers.
  • Collaborate with content specialists, sales and marketing, business analysts, etc. to communicate product information.
  • Lead Proposals / Statements of Work for core functionality.
  • Supports innovation through trend analysis, identifying new opportunities, developing novel ideas and/or participation in idea generation activities to improve company processes, services, or products.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a role within the Supply chain of the automotive or motorsport industry interacting with Software systems for tracking Production, Quality, Suppliers or Procurement in business analysis or project management related role
  • Automotive and/or motorsport industry experince
  • Prior experience working at a tech company or working with complex, enterprise-wide technology

Experience Required:

To perform this job successfully, the Head of Business should have experience with:

  • Knowledge of software solutions utilised across the Industry. Such as ERP systems which manage suppliers, purchasing, inventory, sub-assembly builds, sales and distribution.
  • Knowledge of parts lifting and component tracking. Including how assemblies and components can be related and interchange.
  • Microsoft: 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of production, stock management, sales and procurement process across the industry.
  • General understanding of how software systems are scoped, developed and implemented
  • Analytical skills covering quality management systems
