All sales take place through our eCommerce store www.ruroc.com giving us direct connection with our customers that legacy / competitor brands do not possess. This close connection to the end rider has given us the ability to reduce the feedback loop and rapidly innovate and enhance our gear at a rate never seen before in the Global helmet industry.

You will be reporting into the Head of Brand and work cross functionally with an energetic and passionate team. This role is critical to growing Ruroc’s global brand awareness across industry and owned events. We are looking for a talented and driven events professional, passionate about creating awesome experiences for action sports fans around the world.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning our Global Events Roadmap, with full ownership of our annual events & activations calendar. creating new opportunities to drive awareness through unique events, assessing new sponsored event opportunities, and executing on those events. You will work very closely with the rest of the marketing team to develop epic programs for our events. You will also be a strategic ally to the content and social media teams, as well as our commercial teams in selecting and designing events and driving pre, during and post event processes, as well as external contractors and event organisers to ensure that the entire event planning program and process is successful.

You must have a love for brand marketing and event management – and a passion for all that is digital. You are curious about innovative and engaging IRL activations with good experience in driving awareness through digital channels. In this hands-on and high-impact role, you are a self-starter, data-driven and pursue new ideas without being prompted. Taking initiative and being able to self-manage is key to success in this role. Projects will range from large international exhibitions to smaller community activations, you will be equally comfortable planning, executing and optimising projects through all scales and budgets.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Build a robust Global Events/IRL Activation program across key regions to support our brand marketing efforts. You will leverage global and local inputs from marketing, sales, and customer success and across the business to do so.
  • Complete budget and ROI analysis event planning to assess the strongest opportunities and boost brand awareness on a global scale.
  • Establish a strategic approach to driving awareness through sponsored and owned events, work closely with brand, design, social, digital to have a 360, cross-channel approach to field events (pre, during and post event).
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, commercial and product to understand the core product and messaging to be conveyed at events to target our key audiences.
  • Ability to balance longer term strategic planning with hands-on project management and execution.
  • Desire to cut through the market noise with engaging and memorable activations.
  • Passionate about growing the Ruroc Community across both the snow and moto space through engaging activations (our Community is at the heart of everything we do!).
  • Develop and nurture supplier relationships, ideally bringing a network of event partner contacts to drive efficiencies and long term value.

Pre-Event

  • Partner with both internal and external teams to ensure event success; this can include anything from event selection, travel coordination, vendor contract negotiation, budget planning, content creation.
  • Co-manage event budgets, ensuring all targets are achieved and provide regular budgetary updates to the wider marketing team.
  • Ensure pre-event alignment of all require staffing teams, providing all required event information and product collateral
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure collateral (print and digital) are created well ahead of time to be used for promotion on site, social and other digital outlets.

During Event

  • Attend and manage events to participate, oversee, co-ordinate and troubleshoot to ensure execution success.
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholders and attendees have an excellent experience with Ruroc.
  • Engage with our community, seeking to gain as much insight as possible to feed back into the business.
  • Deliver an effective event follow-up strategy through email, direct mail and nurturing working with the campaign team.
  • Regular reporting on event ROI through brand tracking tools.
  • Curation of event summary reports, feedback, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Are willing to travel inside and outside of the UK, including at weekends.
  • Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Focused on execution in an entrepreneurial environment, remaining hands-on and working collaboratively with inhouse teams and external partners.
  • Creative visionary that can grow Ruroc globally and drive innovative IRL engagement to set our brand apart in the market
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate information clearly and succinctly across a diverse audience.
  • A relentless self-starter with high energy and passion.
  • Fantastic project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to deliver multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness of event trends.
  • Adaptable, flexible and cool under pressure with the ability to react to a changing environment.
  • You are bullish about Ruroc and its potential globally.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in events, PR, content strategy, communications, and partnerships.
  • Proven experience in delivering multiple events successfully end-to-end.
  • Demonstrated experience in measuring and improving the ROI of marketing investments.
  • Proven experience in identifying, engaging, negotiating, and implementing valuable partnerships, experiences and commercial opportunities.
  • Experience in snow, moto, or sporting products would be a significant plus.
