Purpose of Role
To work as part of the McLaren Product Audit team producing road cars and verify quality of finished product during: Dynamic (Shakedown) and Squeak and Rattle Road test. Also, to perform quality audits (BPA to ensure concerns are identified that defects are not released not the market).
Principal Accountabilities
- Inspecting vehicles during Squeak and Rattle Road test (NVH) to ensure quality of the vehicles remain consistent
- Shakedown (Public Highway) test to ensure quality of the vehicles remain consistent
- Perform closed environment testing (Track) to ensure quality of the vehicles remain consistent
- Performing validating of reworked vehicles to ensure quality remains consistent
- Function checking finished vehicles to ensure all systems are functioning
- Presenting results to the business units
- Inputting and maintaining data into QA Database
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Understanding and experience in a quality/manufacturing/process driven environment ideal.
- Expertise of working to process instructions
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good understanding of quality standards
- Knowledge of Shakedown (Test drive) processes would be advantage.
Personal Attributes
- Must have a valid drive license ( Clean)
- Good health condition (yearly check-up required)
- Ability to work well in a team or autonomously as required
- High attention to detail
- Be willing to work: shifts, weekday and weekend overtime
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers of all levels.
- Ability to work methodically and logically
