Studio 397 is looking for a client integration programmer to bridge the gap between the RFactor2 simulation and online services and will play a key role in delivering new and exciting online features.
rFactor2 features an HTML-based UI built on chromium and part of this role will be working with our UI experts to provide them with access to various engine features via WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
Studio 397 is a subsidiary of Motorsport Games and developer of rFactor 2. We are a close-knit team, passionate about creating the most accurate motorsport simulation possible.
Our team works remotely and is predominantly based in the EU.
Responsibilities
- Integrate web services into the game client.
- Work with our UI team to provide access to appropriate game data.
- Implement game features in C++.
- Help to reinforce teamwork and a healthy studio culture.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with C++.
- In-depth understanding of REST APIs.
- Experience working with WebSockets.
- Experience with Java.
- Understanding of authentication protocols and token exchange.
- Proactive and adaptable to new requirements.
- GIT and LFS.
- Bonus: Atlassian Bamboo.
- Bonus: Experience with games development.
- Bonus: Interest in motorsports or sim racing.
