Broadcast Engineer

Based in our Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, your focus will be to ensure F1’s broadcast engineering systems are correctly commissioned and maintained and continue to meet the ongoing broadcast requirements.

 

The Role: 

  • Install, commission, maintain and guarantee F1’s inventory of broadcast equipment both at the Media & Technology Centre and at Grand Prix events.
  • Together with the Media Engineering team and working closely with other departments, design & upgrade F1’s broadcast engineering infrastructure, both at the Media and Technology Centre and at Grand Prix events, in order to continue to meet F1’s current and future broadcast requirements.
  • Keep up to date with developments in TV broadcast engineering and consider how these may be incorporated into future F1 engineering solutions.

About You: 

You are a broadcast engineer with plenty of experience with a variety of broadcast systems. You’re willing to support both our travelling and remote broadcast systems while building on and improving your own knowledge and skills.

 

You have: 

▪ Operational experience of traditional & current TV broadcast engineering, sound systems and principles

▪ Knowledge of HD, 3G, UHD, HDR & IP broadcast standards

▪ Proven track record of first line maintenance

 

Desirable:

  • BSc or equivalent qualification in Broadcast TV Engineering & Operations
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
