Purpose of Role

The Business Systems team is responsible for the implementation and support of business processes and systems, focussing on enterprise resource planning and manufacturing operations management. The Business Systems Associate proactively seeks out opportunities for improvement, working across disciplines, systems and business areas to ensure that our digital solutions are fit for purpose and support business operations. The role will have a technical focus helping us develop our solutions for future business needs in a face paced organisation.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line business system support to end users in our manufacturing systems and business solutions (Apriso, SAP, Microsoft platform)
  • You will be a part of the ongoing development of the system, where you will learn how our primary manufacturing operations management system is installed, configured and maintained
  • You will have a focus on helping develop our existing solutions through configuration and light customisation of our toolchain to deliver improved business capabilities.
  • Research and analyse existing processes within the organisation & Systems to identify areas for improvement through proactive business engagement.
  • Work closely with the central IT team to ensure standard processes are followed
  • Participate in business system and process transformation projects and initiatives from kick-off to aftercare
  • Responsible for the preparation of technical specifications and obtain stakeholder approval
  • Responsible for timely and effective communications with stakeholders and end users
  • Define and execute exhaustive business system test plans
  • Be a champion of innovation, seeking out new technologies and ways of working
  • Assist with the delivery of training in both the new starter training programme and ad-hoc refresher training
  • Support and participate in team knowledge sharing

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • This role would suit someone with an interest in manufacturing and / or engineering who is interested in software configuration and development.
  • Experience and / or knowledge in developing software to meet a set of requirements, example languages would be HTML, CSS, SQL and C# scripting.
  • Experience of documenting processes and capturing requirements would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and techniques including Agile desirable
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution essential
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Microsoft Power Platform experience is an advantage – SharePoint administration, PowerApps, Power Automate development
  • Exposure to DevOp process and tools like Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, github beneficial.
  • SAP knowledge and Apriso knowledge is an advantage
