Storekeeper

Main tasks

  • Receive, unload, and shelve supplies in the inventory
  • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping
  • Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup
  • Label, pack items, rotate stock and arrange for disposal of surpluses
  • Operate a forklift (optional) 

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
  • Skills to operate common office equipment (which in some cases include computer assisted inventory and automotive equipment)
  • Competencies in data entry, analysis and management
  • Good English skills, spoken and written
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to acquire and maintain forklift certification (optional)
