We have a new opportunity to be part of the team in Business Systems for the role of Software Engineer – Distributed Architecture

 

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with first-hand experience building distributed architectures. You will become an integral part of a small team developing a new software architecture essential to building a new generation of software capability for the Aerodynamics group and beyond.

 

As software engineers in a Formula 1 team our primary objective is to support and enable the front-line aerodynamicists, designers and production technicians to do their jobs as effectively and efficiently as possible so they can produce the fastest car on race day. Many of the users of our applications are engineers themselves and have an insatiable appetite for new functionality to help them continually improve performance.

 

The successful candidate must:

  • Have developed message-based distributed architectures and associated patterns (CQRS, Event Sourcing, Publish-Subs model)
  • Be able to demonstrate good software and architectural design techniques and practices and be able to follow TDD and clean code methodologies
  • Have experience using C# on .NET Core 5+
  • Have a degree in computer science, engineering or another STEM subject
  • Be flexible, pragmatic and resilient

 

Knowledge and experience in any of the following would be advantageous, especially for senior candidates:

  • Blazor, CSS, JavaScript, Telerik or other controls library
  • SQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Entity Framework
  • RabbitMQ and the NServiceBus messaging abstraction library
