Role Overview

This role will work to maintain Fisker Inc’s HPC using standardized procedures to ensure continuous operations. This role requires solid understanding of Linux, compilers, MPI libraries, networking and Open OnDemand web access.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system health and performance and ensure continuous operation of HPC

  • Setup Open OnDemand web access to HPC resources

  • Develop improved methods and scripts to automate the processes involved

  • Collaborate with teams to develop user-interface and scientific visualization

  • Diagnose software and hardware failures and escalate complex hardware issues to vendor

  • Provide afterhours support in case of a critical system issue

  • Open and track complaint tickets with vendors

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working with high performance computing with strong shell and python scripting skills

  • Experience in system and related network administration of Linux systems

  • Strong server hardware troubleshooting and repair skills

  • Experience with InfiniBand networks and Gigabit Ethernet

  • Understanding job schedulers and Open OnDemand web interface setup.
