Job Title: Sustainability Industrial Placement Department: Operations About the Department: The Operations department is responsible for the programme management, manufacture and delivery of our Formula 1 cars to our customer, the Race Team. The functional departments within the Operations team work together to ensure that car components are manufactured/supplied to the right specification, quality and delivered on time to be transported to the Race Team. The Sustainability team work closely with all of these departments to ensure that our actions align with our business strategy to meet the requirements of the FIA and other key stakeholders. Role Overview: The Sustainability IP will work alongside the Sustainability Business Partner who is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring sustainability programs and initiatives within the organization. This role involves collaborating with various departments and external suppliers and stakeholders to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations and reduce environmental impact. This role offers a unique opportunity to see all aspects of the Operations Management function and to have a real impact in driving improvements in our business sustainability. You will work with and learn from talented and experienced team members, seeing what it takes to get a car to the racetrack and experiencing the thrill of playing a part in getting it there. Your Responsibilities: As a Sustainability Industrial Placement at Williams, you will: • Assist with planning and scheduling activities. • Perform daily tasks such as data gathering and analysis. • Collaborate with various departments to support sustainability initiatives. • Participate in and support continuous improvement projects. • Support the Sustainability Business Partner to prepare documents and reporting for external stakeholders. Preferred Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have: • Effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with others. • Ability to work independently and with a 'can-do' attitude. • Good organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines. • Logical and analytical approach to work. • Good problem-solving skills. • Experience of working with business systems. • Solid experience of working with Microsoft packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point). Share Point and Power BI experience is advantageous. • Interest in Sustainability and environmental factors in business. • Experience through internships or personal projects (highly desirable).
