Project Lead - Composites

THE ROLE

The Memento Group are looking for a Project Leader who is self-motivated with high attention to detail to manage in house Composite Production activities in accordance with the business needs. With a result base culture the Project Leader will have the responsibility for executing and delivering all in house production activities of Composite components on the Show Car & Simulators programs, the Project Lead will support the Head of Manufacturing to meet the expectations of the Clients & Internal Stakeholders demands ensuring that all projects are delivered meeting process times by managing production hours and overall budget expectation with no compromise on quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely with the Head of Department and Build Managers you’re expected to optimise the Composite laminating and Fitting Shop activities to achieve the highest levels of performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Collaborating with both internal and external manufacturing facilities to ensure integration of the design of components are brough to a successful conclusion in support of the team’s reliability function.

Planning and coordinating all product requirements in accordance with sales and build schedules ensuring the internal manufacturing works orders are created and executed efficiently to the allocated time standards.

Work in collaboration with the HOD ensuring first time right mindset, standards are met and lessons learned. 

SKILLS

Effective financial skills working with HOD to deliver overall budgets and effectively contributing to drive costs down.

Problem solving and troubleshooting skills which ensure team members can positively contribute to identifying problems, and take fast, effective corrective action to resolve for future projects.

Strong Communication Skills, written and verbal.

Microsoft Office, competent using Teams, Word and Excel.

EXPERIENCE

Working in automotive, manufacturing environment with leadership skills: 2-3 year

Highly experienced, with robust and practical knowledge of Composites and 3D printing.

Management of finances, forecasting and budget setting.

Proven background in resource planning and production scheduling to an overall group plan.

On the job experience, with firsthand Composite Laminating & Fitting experiences. 

Planning and organisational skills, project planning/scheduling systems.

Good understanding and familiarisation of ERP systems.
