CFD Calculation Engineer Thermodynamics Engine (m/w)

As a CFD calculation engineer for engine thermodynamics*, you will be responsible for simulating a wide range of engine components. You will work independently on the further development of the CFD process chain and derive optimization measures. THE TASKS AWAITING YOU:

  • thermodynamic basic design of motorcycle engines by means of numerical simulation 3D - CFD
  • system development for power pack concepts for motor sports
  • design, definition and calculation of charge exchange elements such as intake components, exhaust components etc.
  • innovation contribution and execution of CFD studies for optimized fulfillment of future mobility requirements regarding decarbonization, emissions, dynamics and efficiency of a 2-wheel drive concept
  • elaboration of reports, documentation and verification of results with test bench trials
  • coordination of external development scopes of system suppliers, development partners and research institutes

HOW YOU CAN INSPIRE US:

  • completed technical education in the field of automotive engineering, mechatronics, numerical simulation (TU/FH/Uni)
  • several years of professional experience in the automotive or motorcycle sector with focus on combustion engines 
  • very good MS-Office skills as well as proficient handling of CAE tools, simulation software 3D AnsysCFX/Fluent/Forte, AVL FIRE or CONVERGE
  • high motorsports affinity and very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • competent, determined personality and a high degree of team spirit as well as independent, self-dependent working style and absolute reliability
