We are looking for an Electronics Production Inspector to join the Assembly Team here at Williams. In this role you will oversee the quality inspection function for all electrical production assemblies and sensors for the F1 programme.
Your key responsibilities as an Electronics Production Inspector are:

Oversee the electrical inspection function for all electrical production assemblies and sensors for the F1 programme.

Carry out electrical inspection testing on semi-manufactured and completed assemblies.

Liaise closely with the Technical Engineering and Electronic Design function ensuring good team collaboration on quality, reliability, and future design opportunities.

Determine inspection standards and test procedures for assemblies.

Document inspection sign off reports.

Report all quality issues, liaising closely with the Quality Group, supporting, and following up on solutions to resolution.

First point of contact for any quality-related issues and queries.

Investigate and follow up on any reliability issues discovered from supplied assemblies in use.

Support final car assembly electrical testing and investigations.

Perform CT scanning on electrical assemblies as required.

Ensure all test and measurement equipment is kept within calibration according to schedule.

Develop departmental inspection capabilities and provide sound business cases for investment in third party capabilities.

Support non-F1 commercial activities as well as F1 heritage projects as required.
We are looking for an Electronics Production Inspector with the following experience and skills:
-
Proven experience within an electronics test environment; either high technology motorsport, aviation, or equivalent.

Working knowledge of Autosport or D38999 connectors and the associated harnessing components

Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and standards

Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to clearly communicate conclusions and actions.

Experience using electrical harness test systems (Weetech or Cirrrus)

Previous working knowledge of MES Atlas, CANAlyser, and other propriety calibration software packages is desirable.

Awareness of ESD Control.

Be able to take full ownership of new and existing projects and department tasks.

Highly organised and comfortable with the high pressure fast-paced environment.

Have a solid understanding of F1 technology, including Power Unit, Hydraulics, Cooling Systems, Brakes, Transmissions and Suspension Systems is advantageous.
