FF Corse is an established Ferrari team with over 250 victories in its 14-year history, competing in a number of series and Championships throughout the UK and Europe.
Following our new programmes with Ferrari in the UK and in Europe, we are currently looking to offer a proactive and experienced Chief/ Lead Technician the opportunity to join our rapidly growing and developing team on our journey.
The Position, based at our Silverstone premises, will consist of the preparation and maintenance of a number of our customer owned vehicles both at the workshop and trackside as well as the maintenance and running of said vehicles trackside at our many UK and/or European events. You will be required to ensure the vehicles are presented to a very high standard at all times.
You will be working alongside and reporting to the Workshop Manager, as well as the other members of the management team in order to help develop and grow our young and promising technical talent. As your role develops and progresses, you will become an extension of the management team at events.
You must possess an extremely keen eye for detail, and have the relevant technical and fabrication abilities to be able to help the team grow and reach the potential it is capable of achieving.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in the industry, with a preferred experience with GT cars from GT4 or similar series. Recent Ferrari Challenge experience is a significant advantage although not essential.
The successful candidate will have a strong and positive mental can-do attitude and keen approach to all tasks presented before them, as well as an infectious attitude to strive for greatness. They must understand the importance of teamwork, efficiency as well as be able to encourage workshop care and quality at all times, as these assets are key to this role. The ability to follow procedures and protocols as documented in our event documentation pertaining to setup, preparation, operation and safety are vital.
You will also be required to follow all safety regulations and assume any responsibilities or duties delegated by the Race Team / Track Day Manager and Workshop Manager. You will be customer facing so you must have good communication skills and at all times represent FF Corse in the appropriate manner.
Essential requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years motorsport / technical / mechanical GT experience
- A mechanical aptitude gained within the Motorsport environment
- An extensive knowledge of race car preparation, setup and maintenance
- Have the basic, but relevant, fabrication skills required to repair damaged vehicles
- Excellent communication skills and a want to help develop others in your team
- Great attention to detail and be keen to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Ability to work within a team but also manage tasks without supervision
- Have a positive and proactive approach and a willingness to learn and grow
- Understand the importance of presentation and communication
Desirable requirements:
Previous experience working with Ferrari 458 and 488 GT competition cars would be a definite advantage. You will have a full understanding of the process of track day, test and race days, and the importance of being customer facing.
