An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop manger at our busy British Championship 1200m kart circuit and multi activity venue.
The role will see the successful applicant over see the preparation and maintenance of our fleet of 60 karts & Can Am Maverick Off Road buggies as well the other company vehicles and equipment on site.
Responsibilities will include:
- To be responsible for the workshop and maintenance/appearance of all KNE vehicles on site.
- To be responsible for the stock control and workshop costings.
- To ensure that there are sufficient karts/vehicles available to enable the company to fulfill the daily bookings.
- Forward planning will be needed to ensure we have necessary spares as and when required
- Recording maintenance and repair work on through our circuit management system
- To ensure the workshop is tidy at all times and fit for purpose.
- Responsible for booking in parts and stock control.
- Responsible for the security of the workshop and its contents whilst at work.
- To work under the supervision/guidance of the Circuit Manager/General Manager to provide safe events.
- Responsible for the preparation and supervision of activities and junior staff during events.
- Forward planning will be needed to ensure we have necessary equipment for events.
- Ensuring necessary safety checks and paperwork are completed.
- Carrying out site maintenance as required.
- Helping with the running of events when required
- To assist with keeping the site, buildings and equipment clean and tidy and fit for purpose.
- Other duties in line with the needs of the business.
Essential experience:
- At least 3 years experience working in a busy workshop environment.
- Minimum of NVQ level 3 in motor mechanics or equivalent.
- Computer literate.
Preferred Experience:
- Motorsport experience
- LPG knowledge
- Honda GX engine knowledge
Due to the nature of the business evening and weekend work will be included.
