Workshop/Assembly Technician

The Company

We manufacture our performance enhancing products in house ensuring we can maintain the quality of all our products allowing us to provide them to all levels and types of professional motorsport, road going sports cars, kit cars and track day vehicles.

The Person

  • We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Workshop/Assembly Technician required to join a growing manufacturer of precision engineered motorsport products.
  • Interested in motorsport with some basic knowledge of combustion engines.
  • You should have previous experience of working within an engineering manufacturing/assembly environment.
  • Mechanically based background with previous experience of assembly of mechanical products using basic hand tools.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Candidates should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Willing to learn new skills and willing to undergo on-the-job training under a company training matrix.
  • Able to work as part of a team or under your own initiative with a can-do attitude.
  • Will have the ability to organise and prioritise along with being able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Own Transport.

The Job

The Job Role will include:

  • Prepare, build and inspect a variety of medium sized mechanical assemblies from technical drawings.
  • Preparation of component piece parts ready for production assembly.
  • Preparing component parts for second processes.
  • Picking component parts for product Kits.
  • Using our in-house computer-based materials requirements planning system.
  • Being able to integrate into the existing team is essential to us.

Remuneration will be dependent upon experience.

HOURS: Monday to Thursday – 8.00am until 5pm (1/2-hour lunch), Fridays – 8.00am – 12pm = 38hrs average. Unpaid lunches.
